These screenshots illustrate the GeNoC simulation of the following
scenario in the Nostrum ("hot potato" adaptive routing) NoC:
- Message 1: (4,0) -> (0,4), departs at time 1
- Message 2: (3,1) -> (1,3), departs at time 5. Deflected on node (2,2) because messages 1 and
4 are "older" than it (greater hop count) and thus have the priority
- Message 3: (0,1) -> (3,4), departs at time 1
- Message 4: (4,3) -> (1,1), departs at time 2
In the last iterations, messages 1 and 2 simply complete their travels to their destinations.
